2021 I am not afraid of you

Being the daughter of a vivacious mental health therapist, sometimes I reflect on the wise words that my mother utters to me each time I get myself in a funk.

Happiness is a choice.

A simple yet powerful phrase as I navigate through this business world.

Sometimes I wonder....am I the only one guilty of letting the uncertainty of 2020 seep into my 2021?

So, I snap out of it! I choose to perfect my perception into positivity.

Upon further investigation, the first quarter of 2021 has been mostly positive. I had my bitcoins rise from the ashes, Pfizer coming up with the vaccine for the win, Jeff Bezos sadly stepping down from Amazon, Quavo and Saweetie breaking up, and the unemployment rates are at the lowest since the start of the pandemic (The Associated Press).

Change is a constant variable in the business realm, it's easy to fear the unknown. I for one embrace it and I believe that good things will come from it.

2021 I am not afraid of you; this year will be filled with happiness!

I am choosing happiness, how about you?
