Tech needs you not kim K

No Tech does not Need a Kardashian ❌it Needs you 👊

A few years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Ralph Edwards II and his family at a restaurant in Raleigh. He went on to engaged Mary M and I in a conversation that centered on attracting younger women to the tech industry. He wanted his daughters to grow up in world that included more women in technology. 🙋🏿‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️

Although I didn't know it at the time, but that conversation would be the sounding board that would set off my quest to inspire the next generation. 🤯

Hmm...How do we attract Women👩‍💻to Tech?

During a TEDx, Phylecia Jones answer to this was influencers more specifically a Kardashian.

My answer is STRATEGIC MICRO INFLUENCERS. We don't need a Kim K 🤳or Kylie💄 to save us (techies), we can save ourselves. 💪That's why it's important for women to exert our influence on the market 📈by staying in. As women achieve Management Roles we are seeing that diversity and inclusion are becoming a priority.

As a global citizen🌍we are all inspiring the next generation consciously or on consciously🧐, I challenge you to be an active participant in enacting change.

If you know that your influence 🙌🏾 matters COMMENT👇 "My actions matter in tech" 👇
