#independenceday means a lot to me, I am forever #grateful to my grandfather honorable Prince Albert Inegbenosun Okojie(Certified Business Man and Commissioner) for believing in this great country #USA. In the 1970s, my grandpa sponsored the #education and supported the #Americandream of my uncle Vasco Okojie(University of Miami) and my mother @Dr Monica Eluka (United States International University). This foundation set the stage for the privilege and opportunities that my siblings and I are enjoying decades later in #2021 .

My Grandfather did not go to college, but he believed that with education problems would be solved! He also believed that through education, many inequities could be reduced and anti-racist policies could be upheld. He envisioned a world that he could not see, yet, he invested in it and thus afforded his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren a future with hope.

My mother and the rest of my nuclear family went on to acquire citizenship because we are just as much #American🇺🇸 as we are #Nigerian🇳🇬!

Thank you Baba for the sacrifice. We celebrate you and we love you!
